Connected 2 Cree 4" LED cans to dedicated circuit. Powered on, checked placement and operation. Switch off, breaker off.
Come back almost an hour later. Test with voltage pen to make sure no one warmed anything up while I was away. Surprise- there's voltage. Woah.

I put the meter on the hot and neutral of the lights and there is a steady 63v trickling back down from the two lights.

I then disconnected hot, neut, and gnd from circuit. Nothing but the two LED cans.
Still the 63 phantom volts.

What's happening here? It sounds like capacitance draining backwards.

I didn't think to put the ammeter on there.

Voltage will disappear.

I had no idea. Too much trust in all things digital.
