1. go to www.google.co.uk

2. click on "maps," above the search bar...

3. click on "get directions"

4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)

5. type " Paris" in the second box (the "to" box)

6. click on "get directions"

7. scroll down to step #23 !! (priceless)

You'd think it would at least send you up to Nova Scotia or something to minimize the swim!

On the bright side though, at least after reaching France you won't have to go quite as far as Paris to reach Alan. wink

Does anyone remember what movie had the sequence where someone takes a taxi from New York to Paris, and you see the taxi on the Paris street steaming, like it's still burning off the sea water? laugh

I like how long it takes to get there. You would have to be a quick swimmer

What good is "a" crab. You get them by the bushel here in Maine smile

Imagine the scene: Otis Z Fandango III turns up on my doorstep, covered in barnacles and several species of pelagic seaweed and claims to have just swum the Atlantic. He is dragging a bushel of Maine crabs. They smell a bit off.
"Ooh!" coos Mrs B., "How thoughtful, you shouldn't have! Tea, anyone?"

Alan
