Guys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but get used to it. High fuel prices are not coming down anytime soon, unless something catastrophic happens to suddenly reduce demand. If Americans would get serious about conservation, that would likely cause a noticeable drop in prices.
As an interesting sidenote, pick up a copy of the most recent National Geographic. The cover story says it all.
