C-H, No disrespect mate, we were referring to residential construction. Also modern installation practices in the UK & NZ? prefer loop in wiring methods, ie. joints made at accessories, avoiding the use of joint boxes. Installing joint boxes adds to the time taken & puts another weak spot in the system.
