I suspect there was something missing in the question and so the Smart A** is 40 since that is the largest option. Maybe they expected you to recall some information from another previous question??

Using "test taking" logic I would go for 35a since it is the only one that is divisible by 7. [Linked Image]

440.22(A)"..."a protective device having a rating or setting not exceeding 175 <seven quarters> percent of the motor-compressor rated-load current..."

I bet there was a 5hp motor in there somewhere. (20aFLA)

Would this be the same thing as 14 bits?

One quarter ($.25) equals two bits. Not so many years ago a gallon of gas was just under two bits of you would get four cents back from a quarter.

I sang "Shave & a haircut....two bits" to my son & he looked at me like I was the strangest thing in the world.

I may be old, but you're older jw. Gas was probably around 35 cents/gallon when I started driving.

Sorry I am not octal, I am hex based.

(A "bit" originally being 1/8th of a "piece of eight")

I guess we old computer guys never change.

I haven't gotten over the fact that a bite is not something that you get from a dog or snake.
