I am aware two circuits are required for the kitchen gfci's (counter top). However is it required that evry other one be from the next circuit? ie

Ciruit1*******Circuit2******circuit1 **Cir2 etc

If so plese provide code ref. # thanks

We've run them where each side of the kitchen with a counter space (east, north) has it's own 20A GFCI circuit, including a separate one for an island, if present.

There is no requirement for "staggering" the circuitas.

if i remember correctly the alaska builders code requires the staggering of the kit rec, local building code here is talking about it in the indavidual town.
