I heard someone refer to the line and load terminals of a CB as primary side and secondary side? Is this common terminology?

Redsy Don't know if it is common or not, but I have used that terminology when discussing lines and loads with Lead Engineers and some contractors.

Redsy:
The UL Directory "White Book" includes the following statement under the heading of "LINE - LOAD CONNECTIONS"
"Line and load markings on a circuit breaker are intended to limit connections thereto as marked."
Watch out four for backfed installations, if you need more information from the "White Book" let me know.

Never heard of it relative to breakers. Always hear it relative to transformers.
