Hi Everyone ,Please let me introduce myself.I have visited this forum for a few years and have realy enjoyed the wealth of info that is advailble from every one. Here is some of my backround ,Redsy who post on here sometimes is first a good friend of mine and we both worked at the same company for over 20 years till my plant closed down 2years ago. I Served a formal apprenticeship as a industrial electrician back in the 70s the company folded afew years after that.then I went to work as a maintenance Mechanic for 21 years till the plant closed down. Now I work for another place and back in the electrical trade again .So about 99.9%of the time I will be asking for every one's help. Please forgive the typing on this posting. Beginners mistakes.Again Thank you for understanding Everone. Airborne-Ed [This message has been edited by Airborne-Ed (edited 01-06-2007).]

Welcome, Ed
"the plant closed down"
That is becoming a common phrase, in many areas, it seems more plants are closing, then opening, good to hear you found other employment, If we can be of any help, just drop in for a visit.

Thanks for the warm welcome from everybody.and to Shockme77 ,Yes I was a combat wounded Army Paratrooper over Nam. I remember one time just getting out of the jungles and having to pull guard duty on a navy seabee crane right on the south china sea beach for the night. The following morning we went back to the Seabee camp and were treated like their brothers. You people had the best chow I ever had over there ,But we all got sick from eating real food ,Since we were always use to eating dehydrated food .It was one of the few good memories from there. Again Everyone thanks for the welcome. Airborne-Ed

Welcome to ECN, Ed! I have 176 jumps but never had to worry about anyone shooting at me. (except maybe one angry farmer in Ohio when I landed in his wheat) Thank you for your military service! I know that you've had lots of PLFs but I'm glad you seem to have landed on your feet now. Joe
