Hmmmmmm OK...

When I have to "tap" (misused term here) into an existing NM cable, I always have to use two Jct boxes a couple feet apart with a jumper in between, in order to have enough wire length to work with. Just another case where it takes me twice the material as my competitors because I won't go below code... (competitors meaning local EC's and "the like")

LOL! Too funny!

Mike, Hee hee! That tester could also be known as a "wiggly" (your helper wiggles when he is part of the hot circuit!)

Ya, Steve, and Booze too!

Is the recepticle installed under the eaves reqired to be GFPE protected and not GFCI? Does this not also apply to recepticles servicing heat trace? My thought would be who would be the one to climb the latter to reset the GFCI, or for that matter, climb in the attic to reset the GFCI? I would at least run a new circuit down to the service. Some lighting diplays can be very eleborate.
