I get a kick out of this one too. I found myself huming it at work. It was on the TV at a gas station a while back and the tenant started to talk about it. He stated that he did not care if it sounds dumb or not, he really like the commercial. BOO-GA-LEE-YADA!!!
The first time I saw it (watching tv at my folks' house) I thought the first astronaut said "We're never going home are we?" and it made the commercial have a very dark/hilarious angle.
Must be a regional thing because I've never seen it. I watch Discovery a lot. Does anybody remember their "Hello Mosquito" or "Hello Meteor" commercials from about ten years ago? My wife and I still preface phone calls to each other with those every now and then. They are ridiculously silly, but for whatever reason, they stuck with us.
Not Discovery channel, but I came across these old John Cleese Compaq computer ads. All of them are good. A compaq computer is better than a dead fish...
