what about in you area, do the power company obtain electrical permits for work done on private property, such as security lights,roadway lighting system etc..?
Now thats a "gray" area.... Read somewhere that THEY are supposed to get a permit, and comply with the NEC is addition to the NESC. Can't say I saw a permit posted by them...also can't say that they don't comply. We had an issue with site lighting a while ago. I know for a fact that THEY do get permits for replacement of furnaces and water heaters. (GAS COMPANIES) Around here the 'lectric utility (PSE&G) is into "appliance repairs". John
