I am origonaly from Clydebank and my grandfather was a plumber on the "Three Queens" built in "John Browns" shipyard on the clyde (Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, QE2) Wonder what he would have thought her?
My granfather passed away in 1976

Great photo's Ray!. Apparently they were saying on the News that the QM is longer than the Sky tower is high. Not sure how relevant that is, I have no idea how tall the Sky tower actually is.

Interesting stuff Ray, The mast on top of the Sky Tower houses an FM antenna that broadcasts 17 stations (a world record for just one antenna) and a 2nd FM antenna has been installed for the new stations above 100 on your dial. Hmm
