It's a drill-bit stuck into the fuse holder of a 13-amp British plug (BS 1363 type)

Just... YEOUCH.

It doesn't surprise me though, it works doesn't it

I am not sure of the wiring arrangements in Iraq but I know that *somewhere* 13amp sockets and plugs are used without fuses, due to 10 amp breakers in the distribution board, had a bunch of the cords turn up while I was working for a university.

I guess when your daily life includes the threat of being blown up by insurgents, electrical safety doesn't bother you.

Interesting to see the 15amp roundpin right next to the 13 amp flat pin outlet though.

Could have been worse...looks like a 5.56 round would also be the "right" size...with a dramatic 'overload indication." BOOM!
