Has anyone seen a socket similar to this before?

Quite ingenious. I presume from the visible part of the design that there's a socket for a second flat Euro-plug on the right hand side too.

These would certainly be handy to cut down on the multitude of adapters found in the typical TV-corner of a living room these days.

I've seen a French one like that.
