Guys,
What is the standard life of an Electric blanket?.
How would you test these things if they were bought in for you to test?.
Just wondering.

I'm not sure it's easy to specify a standard life span for these. I've seen some people advocate replacement every two years, yet I've seen other blankets still in perfectly good shape after 10 or more.

I think inspection comes down more to a visual examination than anything else: Look carefully for signs of hotspots forming, excessive wear which might soon expose the element, and so on.
