Yep I got that But I thought it said I could down load a new free version of AVG. Will tell you more when I get the reminder in 21 days.

Those of us that are in the know, know AVG will just be replaced by an upgraded ver. And those that always want to be in the know will subscribe to kim's weekly newsletter and will be informed as me lol at www.komando.com

I don't know...must apply to the older versions...but the home version is still free.

Uh oh, my school's IT Dept. isn't gonna like this one. This is what they use on all the old Win95/98 PCs after a virus outbreak in 2003. (Yes, the free version; on every older school computer.)

I just downloaded the AVG 7.5 and installed it. It is free but they listed spam filtering and firewall( I think) options that you would have to pay for after a short time period. I keep getting reminded to upgrade my Zone Alarm firewall but the upgrade won't work on 98SE.

I've always used AntiVir stuff.
I used the free version for years and thought to upgrade last month.
Of course you don't have to, if it is for your own personal use.
