OK, here's a flying splice I had to put together when I got home... Seems my dog "PITA" (doesn't mean "bread") has aquired a taste for video data cable. Boy, lots of tiny wires and sheilding... Managed to get it together and it works... This monitor is only a few months old too! And she got the only cable that's hard to replace (hard-wired on the monitor side). There were some punctures in the Power cable (but it was easy to replace), so she may have gotten a tingle or two.. I was ready to violate some SPCA laws bigtime!! Dern dog... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/mad.gif)

The aluminum "200 mph" duct tape is under the white tape for shielding... Does that count? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/biggrin.gif)

The phasing tape and underwriters knot is a nice touch too.

aluminum tape...I was wondering how you kept all those little stray bytes from gettin' out. Hope doggie learned something from putting the bite on your bytes ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/biggrin.gif) (sorry...I couldn't resist that...) Mike (mamills)

Ya know, Virg, for a very minor renumeration, we could arrange an on-site inspection. If Joe's not too busy, maybe both of us could make it. If he flies into Dulles, it would kinda be on the way for me to pick him up ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/biggrin.gif)

Watch out for the next couple of weeks. Pooch may have 'regaussed' your monitor so that for awhile your CRT images will be ever-so-slightly dog-bone shaped.
