"The Inventions, Researches, and Writings of Nikola Tesla" is on sale at Barnes and Nobles Booksellers for $7.95. The saleslady here in Dallas said it will be the same price at any B&N in the country. I bought it over a year ago at close to full price ($25). It is a prretty technical book. There are 43 chapters in 493 pages of Tesla's papers on AC currents, motors, condensers, dynamos and transformers. I've only read a few chapters. Seems like my career is requiring me to do so much reading that my reading for pleasure or electrical curiosity is taking a back seat.

My book arrived yesterday [Friday]!!!

Just browsed through it and it sure looks good!
Contains quite a few drawings that might be Tesla's originals [I'll check this out and post later].

Thanks once again for the heads up on that book!!

Sparky,
I went to the link and the search field was blank, so I typed in Tesla. The first book listed was the one (title same as in my original post). I didn't realize Barnes and Noble had so many listings of Tesla material. Of course B&N may, like Amazon, list most anything that has been published and depend on their listed source having it available when you order it. Amazon buys a lot of electrical books from the AVO Institute where I used to work. If AVO is out, Amazon may be out. I guess B&N would, to cut cost, not warehouse all the titles they list. My two local B&Ns were out of the books 2 days after I posted the sale.

I went down to the local Barnes and Noble and asked for the Tesla book on sale and they couldn't find it at first. It turns out that $8.95 is the regular price for it. B&N is the Publisher, that's why it is so cheap there.

I thought you'd all like to know. It should be available at that price at any B&N for awhile.
