I am getting a whole bunch of stories about the Code adoption here in Alberta to the point that the AHJ's are not sure which code applies. I went with the new '06 code and got shot down a bit because the AHJ inspector figured we went too much above and beyond the minimum code here.

Anyone else in Alberta getting this?

Just wondering?

Just about half way through a project and called the AHJ for a clarification. First question from them was which edition of the CEC were we using? We are using the 2006 but consulting the 2002 edition. We are wiring well above the standards of each edition. AHJ came to site to have a preliminary peek. He was impressed and commented that the code is meant to be minimum standards. Any wiring done that exceeds these parameters is acceptable and preferred. Is the 2006 edition of the CEC even passed into law in Alberta?
