Luketrician, I too have made the same mistake, (I can admid it) like I said, you only need to make it once... "Cutting then marking" rather than "Marking then cutting" is what I was told right after I did it. The lesson is LEARNED! Whats worse is I did mine with a 3 phase service, not only did I realize that my neutral was wrong FAST, I then had to check rotation all over the building....
