Those of you who know me well enough might have been just a wee bit suspicious as to my timing in posting these pics...
Well, in another forum, a well-respected man Joe Tedesco) has a thread going about the mis-use of fittings. I figured I'd show everyone what REAL mis-use was!
I'm not sure if what I've posete here actually constitutes code violations .... but I think we can all agree that these are certainly examples of fittings being mis-used.
The fix, for the top pic, was as simple as a two-gang box with holes in the appropriate places. For the lower pic, all it took was a single piece of seal-tite, to replace a whole box of fittings, as well as a length of rigid (that was likely water pipe anyway).
Those with sharp eyes, and clear memories, will recall other pics from this same tiny roof. The place has been under new ownership for just over a year now, and I am ever-so-slowly replacing all of this 'creative' work.
