I have an Article saying After 2002 no compression fittings for EMT were listed as raintight!Page 31 in the UL white book 2003 refers to raintight.Does anyone know more about this??The reason in the Article was the fittings fail to pass UL's wet location test.

See this UL page for the latest on which manufacturers have complied with the new standards.

Yes, that is a fact. Now, there are raintite EMT fittings available, by a few mfg in this area (NJ). You will notice the major differences between the 'old' and the new. I don't mean the new are gold plated or anything like that, but they are definitley improved, and carry the UL listing/label.

Quite a few EC's got caught with the 'old' ones, and yes, it did take some time for the new ones to get into the supply stream.

They're only raintight if you throw them into Canada.
