This description is for halogen undercabinet puck lights. Could someone please tell me how to use a dimmer and still be Code compliant. I am not planning to do this but don't see any options considering dimmers cannot control receptacle loads.

Description: Light fixture can be installed either as a Surface or Recessed Mounted light by either using or disregarding the enclosed trim ring. Frosted tempered glass covers the bulb. Full 20 watt halogen bulb for bright light. Easy to relamp. Recommended light placement is 18" apart.

Transformer: UL Approved. Plugs directly into household socket. Dimmable with standard dimmers. 79" power plug and 10" halogen light plug-in terminal block with plug-in terminals.

Sounds like someone has put together a package using possibly a UL Listed transformer and doesn't know about the requirements in the NEC. You will not find a currently Listed dimmer that is Listed for use on anything except permanently wired luminaires.

Consider using a hard wired transformer.
