fello electricians i was wandering if someone could answer a ? in a commercial kitchen when the shunt trip kills power to asub panel how should i keep the exhaust opperational ? mov it to another panel not controled by shunt ? excuse the typing snafus and thanks

Yes, thats what we do, in fact we also add a contactor to turn the exhaust fan on if the fire protection system should activate to allow any smoke and fumes to be exhausted.
