Anybody ever notice specific items (90.7) that are required to be listed such as conduit and tubing 3xx.6 sections.

I find it interesting that per article 240 the only breakers required to be listed are those in 240.83(D) for switch (SWD) and HID use.

Hi,
I beleive breakers for HVAC use are required to be labled for use as well.

Hope that helps a little.

Hi Roger. I remember you and I talking aobut this a long time ago, and I remember that it surprised me then as much as it does now!

One more thing to consider, however, is that while only some things need to be listed, all things need to be approved, as per 90.4 and 90.7. While I hate to take the easy road out and yell 90.4, I think I would have to on this one [Linked Image]

Hello Greg and Ryan. Ryan, (did you get my e-mail the other day) as you know I'm a firm supporter of inspectors using their experience, knowledge, common sense, and education to approve installations.

I think the UL (or other third party) listing has turned into a crutch for some and it in someways has reduced some inspectors to robots if you will.

I don't think 90.4 and 90.7 are dreaded article sections, I think if used properly they are very important.

Hey Roger [Linked Image]

I got your E-mail the other day and laughed for quite some time over it [Linked Image] Sorry I didn't reply, but I've been so busy I'm pulling out my hair!

To all users: Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been working on code change stuff for classes and sorts of other stuff. Still alive and well though [Linked Image]
