Planning wiring layout for 268 unit apartment complex in Fl. Any reason why living room recept/lighting circ cannot be on 15A branch? This has not been my general practice in past and it has been several years since I have done any residential work. However, I had this project dumped in my lap and I am (at the moment) still working for another EC. I have suggested a 20A branch for this situation and was told to do it "as per print" and it is frustrating not to be able to put my finger on the article that dismisses the possibility of putting this circ. on a 15!? All input will be much appreciated. Andrew
No requirement for more than 15A for a residential living room recept/lighting. Be sure the definition of the apartment living room doesn't swing you closer to a pantry, breakfast room or dining room (if so, then see 210-52(b)).
