I came to work this morning only to find out that the plumber hitched a ride on my strut and ran his gas and water pipe. I always thought it was prohibited.but I want to make sure before insisting that he install his own strut. I was wondering as far as 300.8 is concerned does the strut count as part of the "raceway."

Scameron81, 300.8 will not be of any help.

Before anything else, I'd read the specifications and see what the designers have already eliminated.

The real problem is the plumbing moving the strut and pulling the conduit apart, especially if there is hot water or steam involved.
