Does a resisdential hot tub require a disconnect within sight of the hot tub at a single family dwelling? 680.41 excludes single family dwellings, but it seems like every hot tub installation I've seen has the GFCI disconnect within sight.

I just learned my lesson about searching before I post a subject and answered my own question. Totally missed 680.12

Electra,

It's a common misunderstanding that 680.41 means no disconnect required. I hope whatever you found explained that they're referring to an emergency cutoff where someone could turn the pump off in an emergency like someone getting something caught in the intakes.
