is is legal to double lug the load side of a meter if the line side is properly sized for entire load connected??

I think that may be a question that may have different answers depending on location. It may be something to ask your local utility or AHJ.

Our utility PECO allows double lugging on the lineside to tap for off-peak rate equipment. I also know that they evidently allow load side double lugging on the relatively new 400 amp residential services. A large meter socket that can accomodate,if needed, but doesnt require CTs is installed and feeds 2 separate panels in the homes. Each fed by 200 amp SE cable. I haven't done one yet, but I have seen quite a few. Has anyone installed one?
