I have to install cords on some welders in a shop environment, with a high potential for abuse. What are my options other than so cord? I am not familiar with what might be available for such an application?
480V volt 60A and 480V 50A.

Thanks

There is Type-W power cable. It is very heavy duty and usually is rated for 2000V intead of 600V like SO.
This is the stuff the Military uses for their portable power distrubution in the field, so it must be able to stand up to considerable abuse. Here is a link to inw manufacture http://www.acewireco.com/pdfs/6401.pdf

Any 600 volt rubber cord will be fine.

I would want something like SEOO-W.

One other thing, do not scrimp on the cord connectors or plug.

Kellem style cord grips at each end would make it last longer.
