Great pictures!! It seems there is good surface area for contact as long as the wire is straight and the pressure spring mechanism is working well. I had thought there would be less surface area contact and am a bit relieved.
However the 2 to 3 volt drop as measured previously (back-stab Vs non back-stab) with the hair dryer is interesting. I wonder who the manufacturer of that receptacle was.
