I still wish I would have invested in romex when $25 for 250 feet was expensive.

Has NM dropped in price in your area(s)? Here in the San Francisco area, I can get 12/2 for $67 now.

Clean copper dropped from $3.25/lb to $2.50/lb at my local scrap yard. Add 18% to $2.50 and mine should go up to about $3.00/lb. ($2.95). Thankfully we're moving soon, and I can give the demolition crew a little less dumpster chow.

OT: How much is aluminum going for in your area? My yard gives 55¢/lb, up from 35¢ last Winter.

I think last couple years hurricanes is what depressed the scrap aluminum prices.
Most of that debris you see laying around after a trailer park gets blown up is aluminum. Screen cages and pan roof carports are also the first thing to go.
We had yards around here that were just storing it because they had so much it would have crushed the matrket. As it was the local price barely made it worth hauling in.
No hurricanes this past summer allowed it to come back up.

I did hear that 12/2 RX had dropped from $80 to $67.

500' of #12 THHN/ THWN is still $71 and has cost that much all year.

I know my guy is always cheaper than the orange store so I never buy from there unless Premier is closed amd I desperately need something.
