If I compare LCD 17 inches vs CRT 17 inches monitors, which one uses less energy.
In other words, for which one I would pay less for the energy to ConEdison. Does someone can give me the number?

Thanks a lot

You will have to get the nameplate from the particular models. Each manufacturer may have different interior components, and thus a different consumption.
Aside from that, my first guess is that flat screens use less energy.

You know, there's a whole section of the BB that's devoted to "Computers and the Internet" (for anybody that hasn't checked it out)
It's impossible for anyone to give you a $$ number without knowing how much you leave them on, what the units draw, if they have a sleep mode, how much you use the computer, the time you spend each time you use it, the settings for it to go to sleep mode, how much it powers down in the sleep mode, and how much you pay per kwh of power.
