If you uswe a deep socket nut driver on that adjusting nut it is pretty hard to short anything out. This may not be the place for your Kliens although I know it is the universal tool.

Hi.

Well (pardon the pun already), I got the numbers right back where they were and will certainly take MKD Steve's suggestion.

Once again, thanks all for the suggestions and comments.

As to the testing, that was done before we closed the deal. (As well as a Radon test).

I was talking with a friend who says that the worst thing for the pump is repeated cycling on and off.

The breaker panel is a Wadsworth though the main cartrige fuses (!) are...FPE.

(Hey, at least it's not Zinsco.)

Thanks for the warm welcome back.

If the breakers are FPE that explains the breakers not tripping.

Jwhite, the breakers are Wadsworth (so basically the same performance as FPE) and the main fuses are FPE.

Basically bad and worse.

ThinkGood, I forgot to say welcome back!! [Linked Image]

Thinkgood:

Take a look at this posting on another site:
http://www.mikeholt.com/code_forum/showthread.php?t=79180

It addresses the concerns of Wadsworth breakers....
