Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who helped me when I was ready to give thisup after 2 years as a apprentice. I start a new job in three weeks. Yes the old boss gets a 2 week notice. If it wernt for all of your replys and trumpy your the best I would have given up. Thanks for keeping my hopes up when I was ready to throw the past two years away. Best of luck to all of you and please BE SAFE OUT THERE. Steve
Glad to hear you're sticking with it. The first few years as a helper can be brutal. I had a guy tell me I should start looking for another line of work after my first year. Now, 15 years later, I'm still pulling wire and making up slice boxes.
Not a problem at all Steve, It seemed a shame for a guy like you to just throw away a lot of hard work. As electure said above, most of us have had the same doubts. This is a good trade to work in, besides the fact that it has it's ups and downs (as indeed any job does). I'm really glad you chose to carry on with your apprenticeship, don't worry, things will get better.
I quit everyday...only to return the next day - and quit again.
i prefer to fire myself everyday, then i apply for unemployment to raise my rates and screw myself. but i always get the last laugh by denying myself unemployment
Glad you hung in there !! Had you tossed in the towel you would've always wondered what if I had stuck it out. We all have been to the point of giving up so don't worry aboout it. I think deep down you wanted to complete the apprenticeship and stay in the electrical field. Why else would you have posted you were thinking of moving on. You seem dedicated to the trade and we need more folks like you in the trade !! You can always "vent" here when it gets to you. Best of Luck and Welcome Back !
