You know, there's no reason you couldn't bill full rate, make a donation, get a reciept, and write it off your taxes!

Bob, you may not own a business, but some of your posts, have some real good advise in them, maybe you should take that leap....
I do like reno's reply, take the tax break...didn't think of that one...
Now then, I don't do church work...it's like doing charity work for me. Mind you I'm not religuos in any way...but for some reason churches have a ton of money, and never want to part with it...go figure.....
I wouldn't drop my rate once your doing a job, that would be like giving money away, with no tax break...I try not to do that...
However, do what you want...sometimes sleeping good at night is worth it's weight in gold...
If you feel they deserve a break, give it to them, just rememmber your in business for a reason...
Dnk..

That is the way to go! You can make the donation anytime...for an amount you decide won't hurt your bottomline in any way shape or form. It's a win-win situation...they may not even realize it from their EC - accounting dept. at church probably doesn't keep any record of how much was donated by whom and when.

Anouther option, Talk to your accountant keep everything as it is and figure how much your discount would cost you then at years end give that amount to the church. That might help you on your taxes.

Bob, you may not own a business, but some of your posts, have some real good advise in them, maybe you should take that leap.... Thank you very much. But it is not for me, I would not sleep well. I do have a lot of respect for those of you that do run your own business. There is another issue that keeps me an employee and that is jail. The first person that tried to short me on money would have me in their house, office etc. looking to collect. I have a history of getting my money one way or the other. Bob
