I am wondering how one would go about getting instructor certification for electrical? I was a U.S. Army AIT instructor, and I would like to get back into teaching at the local vo-tech college. Any ideas on courses or programs I could take?

I am not sure how your local vo-tech school works. But when I became an instructor at my local vo-tech college, the requirements were that I had to hold a valid journeymans card and pass a background check.

Here in CT, that license and the background test would get you the job, but, you would have 5 years (extendable 5 years) to obtain CT certification, or lose your job.
There are several state colleges that have night programs to provide such training. Central CT in New Britain, and Sacred Heart are two I know of. Also, the sub base in Groton has a teaching certificaton program. Might there be one in Maine?
I would sugest you ask at the local vo-tech school where you want to teach.
