A customer of mine wants an exhaust fan directly above their shower. The ceiling is recessed about 1 foot lower than the rest of the bathroom (I have pretty good attic access). I was going to splice on an existing 20amp GFI circuit. Or should I install the fan outside of the shower? I have not pulled any wires yet. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ian, look @ 210.11(C)3 EX
I forget what code cycle it was, but i had the impression that the trade had been scabbing off of the load side for a while before the change.
I do load side for shower recessed too, haven't found it in the instructions as yet....
