I know there is a lot of knowledge on this forum. I have an unusual tool that no one has been able to identify, including both my brothers in law, who happen to know everything. The tool belonged to my stepdad who passed away last Christmas eve, leaving me all his tools. I don't think this tool has anything to do with electrical, it might have to do with upholstry. You can see a photo at the ECN Photo Forum under the Electric Nostalgia forum with the title "Old Tool Question".

Brian, I'm adding the picture, I hope you don't mind. (Roger)

Here is the picture.

It's more of a curiosity thing at this point. The patent no. is 3545314. I went to the US Patents website but I couldn't veiw anything with my browser.

Hope you guys can help...............BigB

The patents that reference that patent are for tire plugging tools, so I think old town is correct.
