I'm not sure if I should be saying this, but for some time at ECN there has been an on-going want for advancement of this site.
We want to help you members out.
If there is any change, Bill will announce it, I'm sure.
Be patient folks. [Linked Image]

Now first you want me to hold my horse so I grab him by the tail and hang on for dear life.
Now you want me to go to the doctor (Be patient). Well if I keep hanging on to this horse’s tail even though he is little I just might end up being a patient.

Mike,
Hold on to your horses means over here to wait a moment.
BTW, my name is Mike as well. [Linked Image]

Oh! Now I get it, “be patient, hold your horses” means don’t be in such a hurry, slow down, wait a couple of minutes.

I see why the call you “Mike” now. Just the way I like to live.
M ake It Kind of Easy. = Mike

Trumpy,

I'm sure jw is "pulling your leg" a bit here. [Linked Image] It means the same thing in the US as it does where you are in NZ.

To answer the other question, yes we've been planning on upgrading the forum software for a while now. Some might remember that it was voted down by the Members a few years back. We had a newer version ready to be installed, but it wasn't really necessary to upgrade back then. This version is no longer supported by the developer (hasn't been for 2 years now), so I think we're due for a change, and some of the newer features like 'sticky notes' and the 'pm' feature seem like they'd be useful.

So, yes - there will be some remodelling done, I'm just not sure about when.

Cool.

Personally I like it how it is but at this point it is probably due for retirement.

I bet the moderators would be glad to test out any beta version you may have.

Don't forget the permits. [Linked Image]

Bill I say go for it mate!. [Linked Image]
Yes I seem to remember that thread,
But as you say if the software is no longer supported there is no real point in carrying on with it.
I'm all for change, how long would it take for the change Bill?.
I'm sure we could all stand a wee bit of down-time?.

I feel the same, a new look and style may bring in new members. Which in turn brings in more training and food for thought. I say go for it!!! And by the way hello all, i haven't been around much been crazy busy with work.
