After he recovered I just looked at him and asked: "Do I really need to tell you why you should never to do that again?"

I heard him ask: "What's this funny shaped part?" And before I could open my mouth he reached past me and poked the energized bus with his finger.

I just came back from Solfest 2005 in Hopland, CA. I stopped by the tent of one of the major manufacturers of solar power inverters. They had a 7,200 watt inverter/charger setup opened up on a table for people to look at. I was closely examining it, looking at the bus bars for hooking up the 240 VAC wiring, the connections for the DC wiring.

I then noticed that the LEDs on the inverter were lit up.

Said the salesman, "Oh, yah... This thing's live." [Linked Image]
