Has anyone physically compared the 2011 and the 2007 models of toners? I have used the 2011 and loved it but would like to know more about the 2007 model. Why is the 2011 so much more? Anyone with experiences with the 2007 model care to share them?

thanks in advance

electrikguy,
as far as i can tell the 2007 traces energized ckts., the 2008 traces de-energized ckts., and the 2011 does both. I've been using the 2007 for about 4 yrs. now and it works great.

What sets the 2007 apart from the $30 generic variety is that it generates 3 harmonic signals compared to 1 for the cheaper version making it a lot more reliable.

What is the difference in price between the 2007 and 2011?
Zero

A quick tour of the net & I came up with $330 for the 2007, and $5-600 for the 2011.

From what I can see the 2011 is a couple hundred dollars more. The 2007 can only be used on energized circuits? I am looking for one that tones on both energized and de-energized lines. I have used the companys 2011 before and loved it but would settle for the 2007 for myself if it does relatively the same thing. Thanks for the info.
