I am remodeling a set of apartments, changing them into Condos, They have Murray 12-24 ckt panels in them ( main Lug ), Does anybody know where I can find some of these panel covers? Several of the panels were missing the covers.

SquareD QO makes a good cover, a good panel, and good breakers as replacements. There not interchangeable, but you'll have the satisfaction of hearing the thud of the Murray in the bottom of the trash can.

I know...not much help, but a quality solution to the problem.

What's wrong with Murray? I don't know where you would find any covers. Perhaps send an email to Murray.

I think that ITE Siemans bought out Murray and they are the same company right now. If so the parts might be UL listed and interchangeable.

The covers are easily found, just get the
panel number from the inside the panel and take it to your nearest murray or siemens dealer.

Yes Siemens owns Murray and the resi panels are pretty much the same. The breakers are exactally the same, even made in the same plant. The only difference is the sticker.

When you go to buy a cover you'll be shocked to find out it is almost as much as a whole new panel.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia; and we have a Siemens plant here local. I know that the Murray panels have ITE type QP breakers listed inside the panel cover, but never thought that the Siemens panels wpuld fit. I am going to try that and see. As for the replacement of the panels, the GC does not to occur the cost of a panel change-out. Believe me, I would love to replace all of the old panels, just for the sake of working room inside the panels. I have already changed about 8 panels out. All were Zinsco panels!! FIRE HAZARD. I refuse to leave a panle in that has a history of catching on fire! But I had to put my foot down just to get the OK for that! Hope everyone is busy! I have more work than I can do. Main reason I don't have the time to get on here as much as I like! Again, thanks!

Old panel covers missing. That could be a reason to tell the GC to replace the load centers. Sorry, they don't make those covers anymore.

I know spelling is a sore subject around here, Tom. I hope you'll fix the .con and the Active Electri before you fire up your site this summer.
