The electrical distribution system in our plant is all underground and we have to work in manholes from time to time and these manholes must have the water vacuumed out.Our procedures says that we must check for PCB's which can be expensive and time consuming . Does anyone know if there is some kind of test kit that a nonchemist can put in a water sample to test for the presents of PCB's .It is not important for us to know the PPM of PCB's a lab can tell us that we just want to know if there is PCB's in the water to begin with so we could elimate the lab test if it showed posative then we would send it to the lab for further testing. THANKS HYPERSS

Hi,
You can check the following web site:
http://www.environmental-center.com/technology/hanby/hanby.htm

Searching the WWW can produce some resources.

Good luck.
