I feel your pain, I mean that!
Having my stuff ripped 3 times! Truck empty twice, whole truck gone once.
I've made a habit of engraving my larger tools with this message:
Name: Lic #: Phone#: "Do Not Purchase Stolen Tools"
Truck has GPS!
Had someone try to sell me some tools on the street once. Had to hold back from killing him, called and followed him until the cops got there. So someone did get them back.
Remain hopeful, and post your list with the pawn shops. There's a multi (ten?) thousand dollar fine if they get caught with them. I thought it was odd, but cool, a pawn shop can also loose it license for possesion of stolen "Contractors Tools", it's on the books in California. So if they have the list, and willingly take them...
Wish the best, and if found, kick them for me too!

Had my truck cleaned out once and my tools taken from a job once as well. a funny tale: I was working on 33rd and 3rd in NYC one day. During lunch, we were outside on the stoop of a 6 story Brownstone. A guy comes walking down the street carrying a 6 foot ladder and asks us if we want to buy it. The name on the side of the ladder was my company's name, we chased the guy a very short distance before he dropped the ladder and disappeared ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/smile.gif) Pierre

Sorry for your loss tech....unfortunately i think we have all been there once. When mine were stolen the police were very helpful with info on how to mark and identify items in case it happened again. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/frown.gif) I like the idea of engraving "Do not purchase stolen tools." If any one had a concious at all they would walk away if they saw that one.

Jeez. You were hit for six there ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/frown.gif) My condolences. I must have had stuff ripped four or five times now, but ( fortunately ) never from the van or w/shop - just nik-naks off the site. Nowadays I don't leave anything more expensive than a screwdriver when I leave the building. It makes you so ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/mad.gif) The idea of the " do not purchase..." engraving is a flash of brilliance! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/smile.gif) I might just do that myself...
