We are having this discussion on our intranet forum. What do you guys think of this?
In a case where a paralleled feeder using multi-conductor cables and where the standard ground conductor size is not adequate for the OCPD per NEC 250-122. A new properly sized equipment grounding conductor must be installed. Should there be a note to the installer that he/she cut the original (now undersized) equipment grounding conductor back to the jacket and only connect the new adequately sized equipment grounding conductor? Or what would be a better method of installation?

Warren,
In my opinion the only options that you have are 1)get a custom cable with the correct size EGC or 2) provide GFP per 250-122(f)(2). If you install an external EGC you would be in violation of 300-3(b).
