I usually don't "fink", but I'm so disturbed that I think I need to, now.

An electrical contractor that does the lighting maintenance for our landlord sent out a guy with 1 year's experience.
They sent him with the same aluminum ladder that I saw here: www.electrical-contractor.netubb/forum5/html/000165.html

The guy came into our office (seeing that we were atually a real electrical contractor) and asked for an application.

The company in question has a bad record, although they claim to be a "family company" in their ads.

Should I call CALOSHA? ghostbusters?
The worker's reasoning was that he has a family, and wants them to have a nice Christmas.
Dead Dad ain't a good Christmas...S

I'd need quite the piggy bank to rat out the well....rats here...i'd also need a kerosene bath for the resultant tar & feathers....

If this EC is sending out a 1st year worker, or any worker for that matter with aluminum ladders, I would call OSHA for a little talk with the EC, especially since they have existing situations with their license.
No persons life is worth any value, just to get the job done.
I would be curious to see what documentation they can show on this man's training.

I had to edit the first post because I was so furious.
I think we'll probably "take the fellow under our wing", so to speak.
He seems really sincere in his wishes for working in the trade. Hope a shovel fits his hand well.
I'm going to try a call to the contractor first, and depending on the resultant attitude (if he starts telling me to mind my own business, and cussin' me out like before) go from there.
