I have been asked by one of my industrial clients to torque the main switch gear and the main breakers.(Federal Pacific equipment) We are scheduled for utility shutdown in about three weeks.
Is there a rule of thumb for torquing switch gear busbars and breaker?
What do i need to torque what what does not need to be touched.

Edward

Thanks
Edward

In the absence of equipment labeling/manufacturer’s data, 2001 NETA Maintenance Testing Specifications may be an acceptable substitute. See www.netaworld.org
