sorrrrry.... ;-) just wanted to know if it really costs one or two thousnad dollars a year to register and license your trucks there... its only about $30 every couple of years here, and I couldn't believe it when I was told
Cindy, contractor license renewel is every other year for $300(if paid on time). On top of this fee are bond fees, city business license fees, business insurance(optional), vehicle license/registration fees,... Here is a link to Ca's License Board fees. http://www.cslb.ca.gov/applicants/blueprint.asp#10
no way... 300% ? is that on top of the thousand or so per year? you guys should revolt! i'm pretty sure my car is only $35 or something every 2 or 3 years..... what do you pay per year for a basic car like a $7000 honda whatsit? guess i should keep this electrically oriented... so what do you pay for registering and licnesing a $7000 electric car? ;-)
Cindy, 94 Chevy 3/4 ton P/U was $212 last year. All P/Us are considered "commercial vehicles" and there is a "weight fee" on top of license and registration. 69 El Camino(considered a P/U) is $66 this year. These fees are yearly and what gets me is, a large chunk of this money goes to the State's General Fund. It should all go towards road repairs and transportation issues.
ok, $66 sounds a lot better than 1000... but 212 still seems like a lot... i guess they get us in property taxes.. my dads was 4000 this year... the good news for people like me is that if you dont make any money then they cant take it from you thanks
$212 is alittle more than Maine but not much. I think I paid over 500 the first time I registered my present PU in 2000. Can't wait to pay it again on a new truck in the fall. Like Ca., Maine puts it into the general fund also so I can give my money to bureaucrats and folks who don't want to work
