I was doing a web search recently and this URL came up.
Don't know if this story has been posted before, if it has, I apologise.
Makes interesting reading though!.
Find it at www.ptreyeslight.com/stories/oct10_02/pge_mishaps.html
As you can see from the address, this is quite an old story.
Cheers,
Mike Trump.

There is no such thing as too much training, and apparently this worker had not recieved enough. Thank God that noone was killed or injured seriously.

txsparky,
How on earth would you feel, after causing an accident like this one?. [Linked Image]
Couldn't find a rock big enough to crawl under, springs to mind, here!

YIKES! All those 'near miss' kinds of things convince me that someone must have guardian angels working overtime!!

We have a power pole (or at least I assume it's a power pole) that looks to me like it's under a good deal of strain as the pole itself appears to be slightly bending though I've never seen it in heavy winds or other adverse conditions. Maybe I'll take a photo of it and see if you all think it needs attention.

I asked the OSCP (Outside Cable Plant) foreman if he'd ever noticed it and he said it looked like it needed attention but it wasn't his pole so he didn't know who to alert.
